A road network has thousands of kilometres that link all the regions together and allow the population to travel, both for business and private purposes. These roads are under heavy pressure from increasing traffic and increasingly heavy vehicles. They therefore require regular constructive maintenance, on the one hand to guarantee the safety of all users (cars, buses, trucks, two-wheelers), and on the other hand to maintain this heritage substance whose replacement value is very substantial.

A regularly maintained road is a guarantee of efficient use of public funds. On the other hand, a poorly maintained road will suffer deeper or even structural damage and will require major and costly restoration work.
