Pre-cracking

Technique consisting in inducing a controlled cracking in the hydraulic foundations in a pitch ranging from 2 to 3 metres, in order to obtain fine, rectilinear and slightly progressive cracks. The discontinuity created can be for example a groove injected with a bitumen emulsion, an active joint or a flexible plastic film.
