Thermoplastic
A polymer that can be repeatedly softened by heating and hardened by cooling (e.g. SAMI bituminous membrane). Thermoplastics are by far the most widely used polymers. They are transformed without chemical reaction as opposed to thermosetting polymers. The rate of processing or application of these polymers is almost exclusively related to their cooling rate and is therefore much faster than that of thermosetting polymers.
