Wear surface coating
Adhesion layer made directly on the worn wearing course and consisting of layers of hydrocarbon binder and aggregates spread successively. The correctly applied coating ensures good surface impermeability, prevents runoff water from penetrating and decoating the pavement foundations and, if carried out in time, ensures proper maintenance over a large part of the road network. It is the subject of a satisfactory solution to sliding problems, because its geometric roughness, especially in its young age, is exceptional compared to other types of coatings.
The plaster technique is simple only in appearance, because many parameters are involved. It has undergone major improvements in components (binders and aggregates), equipment (spreaders, chippers, compactors) and formulations.
